Consultation has concluded
The City of Vincent has developed a new strategy to govern the management of the City's waste from 2018 - 2023. The proposed new strategy sets a target of zero waste sent to landfill by 2028.
Each year the City collects over 20,000 tonnes of waste in total and spends approximately $6.5 million dollars on waste collection. The Waste Strategy 2018 – 2023 focuses on improving the City’s management of waste by increasing recovery of waste and decreasing waste to landfill, while also tackling ways to decrease waste generation within the City as a whole.
The strategy sets out ten projects where the City will investigate and establish programs to reduce and recover waste and includes education as well as City programs.
The Waste Strategy 2018 – 2023 is open for public comment until 5.00pm Wednesday 1 August. You can share your thoughts by filling out the survey below or emailing us at mail@vincent.wa.gov.au
