Imagine Vincent: The Sequel
What is the Strategic Community Plan?
The Strategic Community Plan (SCP) is the City’s most significant guiding document and establishes the community’s vision for Vincent’s future. The SCP drives our planning, budgeting, resource allocation and service delivery over the next decade, in order to focus our efforts and align our activities to achieve the community’s vision.
The City’s current SCP, Imagine Vincent 2018 – 2028, identified the following vision:
In 2028, the City of Vincent is a leafy and vibrant 24 hours city, which is synonymous with quality design and sustainability. Its diverse population is supported in their innovative endeavours by a council that says YES!
Why are we reviewing the SCP?
Under the Local Government Act 1995, the City is required to undertake a major review of the SCP every four years. The current SCP is for the period 2018 - 2028 and once revised will be for the period 2022 - 2032.
What actions has the City undertaken since the adoption of the current SCP?
We have created a Community Profile Report.
This report:
- explains the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework
- provides an overview of all corporate documents, strategies, and plan
- provides an overview of our last major review of the SCP and what actions have been undertaken since the adoption of the SCP 2018 – 2028
- identifies our current priorities, community profile, and projections for the future.
How can I contribute?
The consultation period commenced on 9 March 2022 and concluded on 22 May 2022.
What happens next?
We will review the responses provided and deliberate on the finding with our community panel.
The SCP will then be updated and presented to Council.
The draft SCP will be formally advertised to the community later this year.
