The City of Vincent is inviting submissions on a proposal to sell seven car park bays and adjoining garden beds within the Brisbane St Carpark.

Background

At a meeting on 22 October 2024, Council resolved to provide public notice seeking submissions on the proposal to close, by acquisition, the right of way in accordance with Section 52 of the Land Administration Act 1997 (WA).

Council also approved the sale of seven carpark bays and adjoining garden beds at the Brisbane St carpark.

The right of way has now been acquired by the Brisbane Hotel.

Project details

The City of Vincent proposes to sell seven carpark bays and adjoining garden beds on either side of the bays (sale land) within the Brisbane St carpark to the owners of the Brisbane Hotel.

The Brisbane Hotel intends to expand its premises and proposes to use the sale land to facilitate a courtyard extension.

The sale land has an area of approximately 191 square metres.

To the best of the City's knowledge, the sale will not affect vehicle access to the carpark or reduce overall parking availability.

After this consultation period closes, feedback we receive will be reviewed and a report presented to Council for consideration.
