Consultation has concluded
The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC) is undertaking a business case for a State Tennis Centre. A business case is developed to inform the State Government’s decision making process. Robertson Park Tennis Centre has been identified by DLGSC as one of a number of sites that will be considered in the business case.
At present, Robertson Park Tennis Centre comprises 38 tennis courts, a large social space/function room, office space and undercover area.
If a State Tennis Centre were to be located at Robertson Park, the existing tennis centre would be redeveloped into the state centre that would provide a location for high performance training and administration for Tennis West. The venue would host local (club), regional, state, national and international tournaments/competitions. Major tennis events (such as the Hopman Cup) would remain at RAC Arena.
