Development Details:

The development is proposed to No. 194-200 Carr Place, Leederville. A location map of the subject site is provided below:

Summary of Proposal

The proposal is for a Multiple Dwellings (Apartment) Development and the details are as follows:

  • The site being cleared of existing buildings.
  • A 12 storey building proposed, including a 2-3 storey podium.
  • A total of 76 apartments across the ground floor to eleventh floor. This includes 12 gold standard apartments that are in accordance with the Liveable Housing Design Guidelines.
  • Vehicle access to Carr Place on the western side of the site.
  • Parking providing across the ground, mezzanine, first and second floors as follows:
    • 118 car parking bays for residents and 8 car parking bays for visitors.
    • 39 bicycle parking bays for residents and 9 bicycle parking bays for visitors.
  • Pedestrian access between Carr Place and the residential lobby provided on the eastern side of the site. Separate pedestrian access provided for the ground floor apartments along Carr Place.
  • A publicly-accessible community pocket park provided on the eastern side of the site.
  • Communal facilities for residents provided on the southeast side of the seventh floor.
  • Landscaping provided around the building at ground level and on-structure on the second and third floors. A total of 34 trees are provided across these areas of varying sizes.

Previous Approval

A development was previously approved at the site on 13 March 2020 (Reference: 5.2019.390.1). An amendment to this development was approved on 18 March 2022 (Reference: 5.2021.505.1). This development was an 8 storey multiple dwelling development with 52 apartments.

Although this proposal has a similar design to the previously approved development, this proposal is a new application and it is not seeking to amend the previous approval.
