Development Description: Proposed Child Care Premises - Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) Application

Development Details:

The application proposes to construct a new Child Care Premises. Key aspects of the proposal are as follows:

  • A two (2) storey Child Care Premises with a mezzanine outdoor play area;
  • The Child Care Premises proposes pedestrian and vehicle access from Loftus Street;
  • The Child Care Premises would accommodate 65 children and nine (9) staff;
  • A total of 19 car parking bays on-site, including seven (7) at -grade bays and twelve car parking bays in car stackers; and
  • The proposed hours of operation for the development are Monday to Friday 6:30am to 6:30pm only.

The applicant has submitted the following information/justification in support of the proposal which is included in the community consultation documents:

  • Planning report;
  • Urban design study;
  • Acoustic report;
  • Transport impact statement;
  • Life Cycle Assessment; and
  • Parking management plan.
