Development Details:
The application is for the following:
- 90 dwellings across the site for community housing for people aged over 55 years.
- Demolition of the existing heritage-listed dwelling.
- Construction of four 3-storey and one 5-storey apartment buildings providing:
- 48 one-bedroom and 42 two-bedroom dwellings.
- 116 square metres of office space for on-site management.
- 134 square metres of indoor communal multi-purpose space.
- Separate single-storey café at the corner of East Parade and Pakenham Street.
- 93 car bays and 71 bicycle bays across the site.
- Tree and landscaping works, including:
- Removal of one Cape Lilac (adjacent to the heritage dwelling) and one River Red Gum (to facilitate right-of-way widening).
- Relocation of one Common Mulberry (to facilitate right-of-way widening).
- Provision of 3,435.6 square metres of deep soil area and 84 new trees (11 large, 28 medium and 45 small).
