City of Vincent is excited to have developed its first Youth Action Plan (YAP) for 12-25 year olds, to ensure a youth voice is considered in decision making and planning as our city continues to grow and change.

So far.....

Vincent’s Community Partnerships team has undertaken extensive community consultation over the last few months, hearing from nearly 400 young people, youth service providers, parents and community members, other local governments and peak bodies. From community events, to sporting and recreation clubs, to conversations on the streets, youth service providers and much more. We also heard from parents, carers and other community members about

It is these conversations that have informed the YAP and allowed us to pull together a plan that reflects the voice and diversity of our young people their thoughts on youth priorities, issues and opportunities.

The YAP is underpinned by the City's Strategic Community Plan 2018 -2028 and aligns with the City’s priorities of Connected Community, Thriving Places & Innovative and Accountable.

What next....

We want to make sure we've heard you, and that you feel this plan will contribute to supporting our young people to reach their full potential reflecting their needs, priorities and ambitions.
