In October 2020 the City of Vincent endorsed it first Youth Action Plan 2020-2022.

What is the Youth Action Plan?

The Youth Action Plan 2020 - 2022 demonstrates the City’s commitment to engage with people within Vincent who are aged 12 - 25, noting this group makes up approximately 15 percent of Vincent’s population.

The Youth Action Plan (YAP) embodies our commitment to these young people. It sets out key priority areas that help us to deliver meaningful support and services, and ensure the youth perspective is part of our decision making and plans for the future.

The City's current YAP identified the following vision:

"To Support, Connect and Empower our Youth."

Why are we reviewing the YAP?

The current YAP identifies deliverables which expire in 2022.

The purpose of this engagement and consultation is to obtain community perspective for the development of new deliverables for the Youth Action Plan 2022-2026.

What is happening now?

The City will be surveying young people age 12-25 within the community to understand key priorities and what else we can do.

We will do this by:

  • Recruiting 8 peer researchers who will deliver surveys to young people
  • Undertake on the spot surveys in popular locations
  • Conduct survey sessions within youth organisations
  • Host community workshops (register here)
  • Provide surveys and information to community spaces
  • Advertise via social media and the local newspaper

Complete the survey and you can go into the draw for one of over 20 prizes including $100 Coles/Myer vouchers, $50 Diabolik Book Store Vouchers and Beatty Park 10 swim passes!

Complete the survey now through the link here!
