This consultation is now closed.

The City of Vincent wants to understand older residents needs and wants around ageing well in our community to help with planning future events, services and activities for seniors.

Background

Vincent is working on a Community Development Plan which will guide our approach to future strategies and actions for seniors as identified through this engagement.

Alongside this consultation with seniors, we have undertaken a current demographic analysis of Vincent seniors which will give us a statistical basis for our planning. We will also look at ways to identify trends, forecasted growth, changes in the existing seniors' demographics and factors impacting older people.

In 2016, the City commenced development of an Age-Friendly Community Action Plan 2017-2027 that informally guided initiatives, creating a more age-friendly community in Vincent.

We are now conducting a full review of current services, workshops, events and outings offered to seniors.

Project details

We think the City of Vincent is an awesome place to age… does the community?

We are seeking feedback from as many seniors as possible who have a connection with Vincent – people who live, visit, work, socialise or learn here.

We’re interested in understanding your needs and aspirations, as well as identifying any issues or concerns seniors may have.

We want to know how age-friendly Vincent is, what barriers there are to ageing and how we can address them.

Community feedback will help guide future planning for seniors.

We may not be able to do everything we’d like so it’s important we hear from seniors what their priorities are.
