Proposed Parking Amendment Local Law 2024
Update
The City of Vincent has adopted the Parking Amendment Local Law 2024 at Council’s 23 April 2024 Meeting.
The Parking Amendment Local Law 2024 was published in the Government Gazette on 21 May 2024 and will be operational from 4 June 2024.
Background
The City of Vincent proposes to amend the Parking Local Law 2023 and adopt the Parking Amendment Local Law 2024 and is inviting community feedback.
At the 13 December 2022 meeting, Council authorised the City's Chief Executive Officer to provide public notice of the proposed repeal of the City of Vincent Parking and Parking Facilities Local Law 2007 and its intention to replace it with the Parking Local Law 2023.
The purpose of the proposed Parking Local Law 2023 is to provide for the regulation, control and management of parking and vehicles within the local government.
The effect of this local law is to ensure that any person parking a vehicle within the City of Vincent is to comply with these provisions.
Feedback was invited on the draft Parking Local Law 2023 in March, and it was adopted by the City of Vincent at the 22 August Council Meeting.
The Parking Local Law 2023 was published in the Government Gazette on 11 September and has been operational from 25 September.

The City of Vincent now proposes to amend the Parking Local Law 2023 and adopt the Parking Amendment Local Law 2024.

The purpose of the proposed Parking Amendment Local Law 2024 is to amend certain provisions of the City of Vincent Parking Local Law 2023.
The effect of this amendment local law is to provide further clarity of the requirements that any person parking a vehicle within the City of Vincent is to comply with these provisions.

Following this public notice period, any submissions received will be provided to Council for consideration and determination.
Everyone who provides feedback will be notified when the proposal is due to be considered by Council. Members of the public are welcome to attend the Council Briefing and Council Meeting to ask questions or comment on the proposal.
