The area encompassing Brookman and Moir Streets is considered a place of significance. All 58 dwellings on these two streets are listed as Category A under the City of Vincent’s Municipal Heritage Inventory with the precinct also being listed in the State Register of Heritage Places.

A number of Design Guidelines were adopted by Council to ensure that new developments fit within the local context of each area. Now that each of the sites has been developed and there is suitable guidance remaining within the local and state planning framework, it is recommended the design guidelines be revoked.
