Summary of Proposal:

The proposal is to develop an eight-storey mixed use development on the site. The proposed development consists of:

  • The site being cleared of existing buildings;
  • Development of an eight storey building on the subject site. The building height varies across the site due to the topography of the lot, with eight storeys presenting to the west where the site levels are lowest and seven storeys presenting to the east where the site levels are highest.
  • Commercial tenancies to the ground floor, including:
    • One Tavern;
    • One Recreation - Private (Gym);
    • Two Shops (hair and beauty); and
    • One Restaurant /Café;
  • A total of 117 apartments. These include a mix of 59 residential dwelling, 15 Aged or Dependent Persons dwellings with one carers dwelling and 42 co-living units;
  • Vehicle access to commercial ground floor parking provided from Albert Street and vehicle access to commercial and residential basement parking provided from Kadina Street.
  • Public outdoor space on the ground floor, inclusive of landscaping and alfresco dining areas;
  • Landscaping along the western lot boundary at the interface with adjoining properties.
