Development Details:
The proposal is for the Alterations and Additions to Tavern at No. 292 Beaufort Street and 60-78 Brisbane Street, Perth.
Details of the proposed development include:
- A 142 square-metre single storey rear addition consisting of an outdoor pavilion to accommodate a maximum 900 persons onsite
- Conservation and reinstatement of the Brisbane Street and Beaufort Street facades.
- Installation of a new awning to Beaufort Street and Brisbane Street façades.
- Internal renovations to the back of house and toilets.
- Landscaping provides 34.8 square-metres of deep soil areas.
- Removal of 7 car parking bays within City’s Car Park
- Remodel existing Beaufort Street addition façade, courtyard wall and windows.
Progress Update - DAP Determination of the Development:
The proposal will be considered by the Development Assessment Panel (DAP) at its Meeting to be held on Tuesday 9 June 2026 at 9.30am at the Department of Planning, Lands & Heritage (140 William Street, Perth).

Recommendation on Application
Following a detailed assessment against the relevant planning framework, the City has recommended that the DAP approve the application subject to conditions.
The reasons for this recommendation are set out in the City’s Responsible Authority Report (RAR).

Presentation Requests
If you have made a submission in relation to the above application, you have an opportunity to present your concerns/comments at the DAP meeting. Any applicant and/or submitter seeking to make a presentation to the DAP is required to complete the DAP presentation request form, and forward it to the DAP Secretariat, at least 72 hours prior to the commencement of the DAP meeting. A copy of the presentation form is available via the following link.
The presentation request form is to be accompanied by a written document setting out the name of the person or representative of the group, the DAP application it relates to and the substance of the submission the person or group proposes to make.
If a DAP presentation approval is obtained, each applicant and submitter will be advised by the DAP Secretariat. The presentation is limited to 3 minutes, unless otherwise approved by the Presiding Member. Presentations may be in-person or via zoom, a zoom link will be provided to the presenters by the DAP.
