Development Details:
The application proposes to construct a new Child Care Premises. Key aspects of the proposal are as follows:
A two (2) storey Child Care Premises with a mezzanine outdoor play area;
The Child Care Premises proposes pedestrian and vehicle access from Loftus Street;
The Child Care Premises would accommodate 65 children and nine (9) staff;
A total of 19 car parking bays on-site, including seven (7) at -grade bays and twelve car parking bays in car stackers; and
The proposed hours of operation for the development are Monday to Friday 6:30am to 6:30pm only.
The applicant has submitted the following information/justification in support of the proposal which is included in the community consultation documents:
Planning report;
Urban design study;
Acoustic report;
Transport impact statement;
Life Cycle Assessment; and
Parking management plan.

The City will prepare its Responsible Authority Report (RAR) that will provide a recommendation to the JDAP.
The RAR will include a summary of all submissions received and responses to these.
The RAR is currently due on 10 January 2023.
The application is currently on stop-the-clock (paused) while the applicant responds to additional information requested by the City, their response is currently due to be submitted by 23 January 2023.
The current RAR due date will be extended once the applicant has responded. At this stage it's estimated the RAR due date would be extended to late January or early February.
Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) Decision

The JDAP Meeting will be scheduled closer to the due date of the RAR. At this stage it would be estimated to occur in early to mid February 2023.
This meeting will be open and can be attended by members of the public.
Anyone who has made a submission on the proposal or who has registered for updates will receive email notification of the JDAP meeting date, inviting you to attend and providing you with information about how to make a deputation (presentation) at the meeting.
