Hyde Park Parking
Hyde Park is an iconic place in the Perth metropolitan area. It's a popular recreation space for both locals and visitors .
With so many people using the park, parking in the surrounding streets is in high demand.
The increased density of developments in the area and the growing number of CBD commuters using the streets for ‘free’ all day parking has put additional pressure on parking.
The City of Vincent is proposing parking restrictions for parts of Vincent, Hyde, William and Glendowner Streets aims to;
- Improve parking availability,
- Extend the time restrictions to sections of the street currently without restrictions,
- Create a greater turnover of parking to allow more people access to the park and it's facilities.
Proposed parking restrictions;
VINCENT STREET (Both sides): 3hr parking between Throssell and William streets, 8am-6pm Monday to Sunday
HYDE STREET (Both sides): 3hr parking between Vincent Street and Chelmsford Road, 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
WILLIAM STREET (Eastern side): 3hr parking between Vincent and Glendowner Streets, 9am-6pm Monday to Friday, subject to a Clearway restriction prior to 9am. 3hr parking from 8am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday.
WILLIAM STREET (Western side): 3hr parking between Vincent and Glendowner Streets, 8am – 4.15pm Monday – Friday, subject to a Clearway restriction between 4.15pm and 6pm. 3hr parking from 8am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday,
GLENDOWNER STREET (Northern side – park side): Between William and Palmerston Streets, retain the existing 3hr parking restrictions (At all times)
GLENDOWNER STREET (Southern side): Change 3hr parking restrictions to 1hr parking restrictions (At all times)
