We have prepared a draft Greening Plan 2018-2023 and are seeking community feedback on the Plan prior to its adoption by Council.
Please read the draft Greening Plan and let us know your thoughts.
We adopted our first Greening Plan in 2014 with a target to increase our tree canopy to 20% by 2050.
Since the 2014 Greening Plan was introduced the City has planted:
over 1,600 street trees
25km of greenways (streets that provide shady tree canopy for walking and cycling as well as biodiversity links for local fauna)
over 2.6 hectares of native habitat through its eco-zoning program.
The Greening Plan 2018-2023 aims to continue the City’s positive work in the public domain, and also increase our focus on promoting the preservation and planting of trees on private property.
You can share your thoughts by filling out the below survey, emailing us at mail@vincent.wa.gov.au or calling 9273 6000.
