We are replacing the Forrest Park playground in Mt Lawley and inviting people to help decide what the new one will look like.
Background
Forrest Park, on the corner of Walcott and Curtis streets, is a sports ground with floodlights and also an approved dog exercise area.
The fully fenced playground there is coming to the end of its life and is due to be replaced in 2026/27.
This playground renewal will be funded through the City's 2026/27 Capital Works budget and work is due to be completed within the 2026/27 financial year.
Project details
This is your opportunity to help shape the new playground at Forrest Park in Mt Lawley.
We are interested to hear what preferences community has, including age group suitability, types of equipment, layout, surface and potential themes eg. nature.
The playground is regularly used by the nearby playgroup as it benefits from shade sails, and these will be replaced as part of the upgrade.
If you regularly visit this playground, we'd love to hear from you, but we also welcome comments from the wider community and park users.
