The City of Vincent is seeking nominations for up to three (3) external independent members to join our Audit Committee.
Background
Vincent has a number of Committees, Advisory and Working Groups and other bodies to advise Council on specific matters.
Each group has its own terms of reference and includes representatives from the community. Representatives are invited to submit Expressions of Interest should they wish to be considered for membership. Membership is usually for a period of two years.
Expression of Interest
We are currently seeking nominations from external independent members to join the City's Audit Committee for the period 21 November 2023 to 18 October 2025.
Nomination criteria:
Experience with business or financial management/reporting
Understanding of risk management systems and procedures
Understanding of internal business controls
Experience applying and monitoring legislative compliance programs.

This Expression of Interest closed 5pm Friday, 20 October 2023.
What will happen next?
After the Expression of Interest period closes, nominations will be reviewed, and a report presented to Council for consideration.
Everyone who nominates will be notified when the report is due to be considered by Council. Members of the public are welcome to attend the Council briefing and Council meeting to ask questions or comment.
