The outdoor exercise equipment at Beatty Park Reserve is due for replacement and we're asking community for feedback on which of two design options they prefer.

Background

Beatty Park Reserve is situated at the corner of Charles and Vincent streets in North Perth and is a beautiful park with a playground, plenty of shade and a tree-covered path perfect for exercise.

As part of ongoing upgrades, the outdoor exercise equipment is being replaced.

The current equipment consists of four exercise pieces, a stepper, cycle seat, rowing machine and ab-hip swinger. All have been well-used over the years, hence needing replacement.

The equipment renewal will be funded through the City's 2025/26 Capital Works budget and work is due to be completed in the 2025/26 financial year.

Project details

With guidance from Beatty Park gym staff, we have shortlisted two great design options for the new exercise equipment and would love to hear which the community prefers.

Option A

Offers more specialised equipment, designed for use as intended, but also highly effective for circuit training and developing major muscle groups, while incorporating some cardiovascular benefits.

One of the Gym Combo pieces focuses on leg pushing and sit ups, and the other on walking, running and twisting movement. The multi-station includes power push, power pull, leg push and bike fit.

Option B

Has more of a cross-training, multi-functional focus. Aside from the rower, chest press and stepper, each feature offers a variety of exercise options, allowing flexibility for all fitness levels and circuit-style training.
