The City of Vincent is reviewing its Execution of Documents Policy and is seeking community feedback on proposed amendments.
Background
The purpose of the Execution of Documents Policy is to ensure that:
- appropriate officers at the City who have delegated authority, have corresponding authority to execute documents related to their delegated functions; and
- documents are executed in a consistent and transparent manner.
Documents covered by this Policy include, but are not limited to deeds, contracts, purchases, leases, licences, Local Laws.
The Policy was last reviewed on 15 September 2020 and was due for periodic review in 2024.
In March 2025 Council approved the Execution of Documents Policy for the purpose of community consultation.
Proposed amendments
This Policy captures decisions that would have accompanying documents to be executed and who has the authority for signing these documents.
The amendments in the Policy align the proposed changes to the specific delegations below:
A tracked-changes copy of the policy, highlighting proposed amendments, and a clean copy of the updated draft policy are available to view in the Documents Library to the right of this page.
As a result of the review of this Policy, changes to Delegation 2.2.18 of the Delegations Register are also proposed. The tracked changes of delegation 2.2.18 are also in the Documents Library.

What will happen next?
After this consultation period closes, feedback we receive will be reviewed and a report presented to Council for consideration.
Everyone who provides feedback, and contact details, will be notified when this will be considered by Council. Members of the public are welcome to attend the Council Briefing and Council Meeting to ask questions or comment on the proposal.
