Have your say on the major strategic documents that will shape the future of Leederville.
Over the last two years, we've worked with our community to create a vision for the future of Leederville.
The Design Leederville process has resulted in the development of two strategic documents that will shape the future of Leederville:
The draft Leederville Precinct Structure Plan will guide all future development in Leederville; and
The Leederville Town Centre Place Plan will guide the City’s investment in the town centre over the next four years.
The draft LPSP and LTCPP have been developed in close partnership with our community and in alignment with the City’s Strategic Community Plan. The Design Leederville consultation campaign began in late 2019 and continued throughout 2020.
Step 1 was to understand the Leederville Precinct from a technical perspective through significant research, culminating in a detailed SWOT Analysis.
Step 2 was to talk to our community and key stakeholders to determine if our findings matched their experience, knowledge and opinions.
The draft Leederville Precinct Structure Plan and the Leederville Town Centre Place Plan seek to address current issues affecting Leederville and aim to take advantage of opportunities to ensure Leederville thrives for generations to come.
The purpose of Amendment No. 7 is to amend the 'Table - Zone objectives' to include ‘Centre’ zone and to reclassify the land subject to the Leederville Activity Centre from ‘Regional Centre’, ‘Public Purpose’, ‘Parks and Recreation ‘and ‘Residential’ to ‘Centre’.
