Development Description: Concrete Batching Plants - Extension of Time

Development Application Number: 5.2024.41.1 (71 Edward Street) 5.2024.43.1 (120 Claisebrook Road)

Development Details:

The City has received development applications from the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) for the existing Concrete Batching Plants at Nos. 120 Claisebrook Road and 71 Edward Street, Perth, respectively.

Application Details

The operation of the Concrete Batching Plants is currently limited to 30 June 2024. The applications propose to extend this period for both sites for a further seven years.

The applications have been referred to the WAPC for determination by the Premier as they are considered to ‘raise issues of State or regional importance’.

As part of this process the State Development Assessment Unit (SDAU) will undertake an assessment of the applications and prepare a recommendation to the WAPC.

The City is a referral agency for these applications and will provide comments to the SDAU to inform its recommendation.

More information on the SDAU (including FAQ's) are available here.
