The City of Vincent has reviewed its Community and Stakeholder Engagement Policy and is seeking community feedback on the proposed changes.
Background
The Policy provides a clear commitment to engaging effectively and inclusively with our diverse community.
The existing Policy was adopted in September 2021, which was supported by the Community Engagement Strategy. It is due for review as part of the City’s governance processes.
At its meeting in April 2026, Council approved the proposed amendments to the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Policy for community consultation.
Policy details
The review ensures the policy aligns with contemporary best practice, International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) Core Values and the City’s strategic objectives.
The proposed changes include a focus on principles and commitments, with operational guidance provided in a Community and Stakeholder Engagement Framework.
It puts the community at the heart of decision-making and ensures their insights are used to guide priorities, strategies and services.
The existing and draft policies are available to view in the Documents section.
