Amendments to the Access and Equity Policy

We’re making changes to our Access and Equity Policy and we’d love to know what you think.

The proposed amendment includes:

• Inclusion of an Acknowledgement of Country;

• The inclusion of the word Diversity in the policy name;

• The inclusion of references to different groups including seniors, young people and the LGBTIQ+ community;

• The addition and removal of certain words to improve the language and align terminology with other Council documents; and

• Updates to the definitions.

You can also visit the City’s Customer Service Centre, located in the library at 99 Loftus Street, to provide a submission in person.

The City will commence development of our next Disability, Access and Inclusion Plan later this year.
