The City of Vincent has reviewed its Investment Policy and is seeking community feedback on the proposed changes.

Background

This Policy guides how we manage and invest ratepayer funds with a strong focus on protecting public money and ensuring it is available when needed.

The current Investment Policy was adopted in February 2022 and is due for review as part of the City's governance processes.

The review ensures the policy remains up to date with current legislation, financial market conditions and best practice in local government.

At its meeting in March 2026, Council approved the proposed amendments to the Investment Policy for community consultation.

Policy details

The proposed changes are about strengthening governance and oversight, but the fundamental purpose of the policy remains the same.

The updated policy also reflects community expectations around ethical and environmentally responsible investment decisions.

For full details, a copy of the existing and draft policies are available to view in the Documents section.
