The proposed amendments to the Flying and Displaying of Flags and Banners Policy was approved by Council at its 5 April 2022 meeting.

The substantive changes to the policy are as follows:
- Updated policy objective to align with existing practice;
- Clause 2.2, 2.3 and 3 have been added to define delivery of the proposed objective and to reinforce the City’s existing practice; and
- Clause 4 has been removed from the policy provision. Guidance to the City’s statutory requirement has been included in the introduction section and legislation and supporting documentation table.
