Background

The City of Vincent is reviewing our Advisory Groups Policy and seeks feedback on the proposed amendments.

At the Ordinary Council meeting on 22 August, a report was presented requesting approval for the Advertising of Amended Policy No. 4.2.12 - Advisory Groups.

Council has adopted the recommendation in this report, approving the proposed amendments to the Advisory Groups Policy for the purpose of community consultation.

Project Details

The draft policy provides guidance for the establishment and operation of advisory groups within Vincent.

Key proposed changes to the policy include:

  • Removal of procedural content.

  • A new clause is proposed to enable membership, nomination processes and tenure of appointment, for each advisory group, to be set out in the respective Terms of Reference (ToR). This will enable ToR to be specific to the group and its individual needs; and

  • A template ToR has been developed and will be linked to the Policy to provide guidance to Groups.
