Current Status
The demolition of the former Stirling Towers is entering its final stages. Demolition will continue in the coming weeks. You may have noticed demolition had paused on-site. This was to allow works to be undertaken to relocate electricity infrastructure and minimise disruption to surrounding residents.
A Building Permit has now been approved by the Housing Authority for the construction of the development.
Next Steps
Before construction commences, the City of Vincent, the Department of Planning Lands and Heritage, Department of Communities and the developer will be working together to address conditions of the development approval for the new housing development.
Construction on the new housing development is expected to commence in the third quarter of 2025.
